We only use the information needed to create, sell and support your personalised ebook.

Who we are

Is That My Dog? is provided by Nexus. For privacy, payment or support questions, email aaronstone.avr@gmail.com.

Information used to create your book

Why we use this information

We use it to create the personalised book you request, show you a protected preview, complete your purchase, deliver the ebook and provide customer support. Where information is needed to fulfil your order, our main lawful basis is performance of the contract with you.

AI image processing

Your uploaded dog photo is processed by our AI-generation service to create the illustrated dog poses used in your book. This involves sending the photo and generation instructions to OpenAI’s API as part of the book-creation process.

Payments

Payments are made through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Your full card number and card security code are entered with Stripe and are not received or stored by Nexus. Stripe processes payment, billing and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy terms.

Read Stripe’s privacy information.

Service providers

Relevant information may be processed by providers needed to operate the product, including Netlify for website hosting, OpenAI for AI generation and Stripe for payment processing.

How long information is kept

We keep information only for as long as needed for book creation, support, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or legal requirements. The generated ebook is prepared for delivery through your browser rather than being offered as a public online file.

Your rights

UK data protection law may give you rights over personal information we hold about you, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and, in some circumstances, data portability.

To make a request, email aaronstone.avr@gmail.com.

Complaints

You can contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. You also have the right to raise a data-protection complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
